- Compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and PHIPA
3.1 FERPA Compliance (U.S. Education Institutions)
- FN Immersive Innovation complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) when handling student information provided by schools.
- We act as a “school official” under FERPA and only use anonymous student data for authorized educational purposes.
- Schools maintain control over student records and can request access, corrections, and deletion of student data.
3.2 COPPA Compliance (Children Under 13)
- FN Immersive Innovation complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by:
- Our products and services are offered to students 13+.
- Only collecting the minimum necessary data.

3.3 PHIPA Compliance (Ontario, Canada – Health Information Protection)
- FN Immersive Innovation does not collect Personal Health Information (PHI) and is not subject to PHIPA regulations.
- If in the future we handle PHI, we will comply with Ontario’s PHIPA requirements regarding data security and breach notification.
- Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
- We use (Azure Cloud) platform that adhere to an industry-standard security practices and technologies such as encryption for data at rest and in transit to safeguard your data, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Employees handling personal data are trained in compliance and security protocols.
- Third-party service providers (Microsoft) handling data on our behalf must comply with strict security obligations.
- Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
- FN Immersive Innovation does not sell or trade personal data to third parties.
- NO third-party providers may have access to user data under any circumstances.
- Third-party providers may have access to user data only for the purpose of delivering educational services.
- We ensure all third parties sign contractual agreements to protect student privacy.
- Data Retention & Deletion
- We retain only the minimum anonymous data necessary to identify a person and store it only for as long as required to provide services to our customers, unless otherwise mandated by law.
- Customers will have full control over employees/students data stored on our system,
- Customers (schools, companies, or users) can request deletion of their data by contacting us at fnii_info@fnimmersiveinnovation.com.
- Upon deletion requests, personal data will be securely erased or anonymized within five business days.
